Roam is an exhibition of contemporary landscape painting, developed through walking, exploring and recording the natural environment.

The artists - Millicent Evans, Octavia Madden and Toby Wills-Hart - met while studying painting at Aberystwyth University and have continued a collaborative friendship shaped by a shared connection to nature and image-making. See below for Artists' Biographies.

They told us: "Over the past nine months, we’ve travelled across Wales, Scotland and the Isle of Man, undertaking residencies and research-led travels that ground our creative process in the landscape itself. The works on show are primarily large-scale oil and acrylic paintings, developed from plein air drawings, watercolour studies and written observations. Through our use of mark making, patterns, and colour, we reimagine our experiences and memories of these places."

As well as visiting the show, you can come to our Private View, attend an artists' talk, and take part in a Walking & Drawing tour.

Garage Gallery is proud to be part of the Open House Festival, which runs from 13-21 September.
