This exhibition features work by four artists: Daniel Smalling-Bennett, Sianee Amelia, Kyle (Skcava), Natasha Awuku. It is curated by Daniel, who tells us:
"This exhibition aims to explore the complex and multifaceted themes of Black identity and culture within contemporary British society. It will centre on the lived experiences of African/ Afro-Caribbean individuals growing up in the boroughs of North-East London such as Haringey, Hackney, Waltham Forest. Drawing on both personal and collective histories, this exhibition will delve into the nuances of navigating British society while celebrating our represented cultures in the black diaspora. The curated space will spotlight the tension between Westernization and its impact on African/ Afro-Caribbean culture".
