'Drawings from the roots to the rooftops' is a group show featuring exclusively pencil drawings, by five artists: Frederick Terpstra, James Robert Morrison, Juliette Losq, Emma Wilde and Alice Bulmer.
Frederick also curates the show, and he tells us:
“From the roots of the trees on the ground, to the rooftops of the buildings in the city, partially covering in shadow the figures of the people passing by; in these buildings and houses where relationships are built, lives go on and our stories are held. This broad range of aspects can be portrayed with just the simple method of pencil drawing, a technique dating back to the 18th century with origins in cave drawings and being brought back to life today by modern contemporary artists."
